The Kenyans for Kenya initiative is an inspirational community collaboration of Kenyan citizens who have come together to support their fellow Kenyans currently suffering from the drought and famine conditions present throughout much of the country.

This unique initiative has given people of all socioeconomic backgrounds the ability to donate as little $0.25 via mobile phone and collection centres. The children at Rehema Day Care and Orphans Centre, inspired by the citizen-led movement decided to make a contribution of their own. They pooled the profits brought in by their poultry farming project to raise a total 5,000Ksh (~$60USD), which they dedicated to the K4K initiative at the Oasis Community Music Festival on August 20th.

It is inspiring to work on the behalf of such mature, socially conscious individuals.

Together, we are one.
