Entrepreneur for Entrepreneur is a new element of our LaunchPad Program.
While our team in Nairobi works daily to train, inspire, and prepare our secondary students to eventually enter the workforce, we recognize the immense possibilities that exist within Kenya's developing economy around enterprise and innovation. Likewise, our secondary school students are passionate about opportunities in entrepreneurship across a wide-range of sectors and many have demonstrated interests in starting small businesses -- from chicken farms, to cow rearing and clothing design.
In addition to providing students with access to trainings in business plan formulation, business finances and operations, Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs exists to link students with industry leaders donating their time and resources to mentor selected projects and teams.
In many instances, the start-up cost associated with a student's project is as little as $100, but the potential for learning and growing is immeasurable. Relationships between a student and mentor are maintained through Skype calls, online communication and in person meetings.
All mentors are interviewed by our Project Manager and must commit to a minimum of 8 hours of mentoring per term. Apply now to mentor and fund a young entrepreneur for the 2017 academic year:
