Amy's Birthday Adventure:
February 3: Arrive in Nairobi (NBO-Jomo Kenyatta Airport) Pick up and transfer to hotel
February 4: After a good nights rest in Nairobi, drive to Flying Kites in Njabini, meet the children, join us for a big family dinner under the stars, sit in on our student council meeting, followed by a bonfire.
February 5: Wake up at Flying Kites, breakfast with the kids, walk to the river, lunch at the river, hiking, helping in the farm, talent show and dinner.
February 6: Leave for Safari early
Short flight to the Massai Mara for a world-class three-day safari. The next three days will be spent at the legendary Karen Blixen Safari Camp, where you will enjoy world-class game drives in the Maasai Mara, Africa's greatest wildlife reserve. See elephant, giraffe, lion, zebra, hyena, cheetah, leopard, and if you're lucky- rhino, in their natural habit. Nights are spent around camp fires, eating gourmet food and and sleeping in luxury tented safari camps.
February 7, 8, 9: on Safari and depart February 9th after dinner at Ololo Lodge in Nairobi to return home.
Additional Option - Zanzibar: Example: 3 days at the Dhow Inn in Paje, Zanzibar (internal flights 400 USD, room and board 200 USD per person, per night).
Cost of Safari:
- 1,500 USD: includes 3 Nights at Karen Blixen Safari Camp (including all meals, accommodation, local beers and house wines, 2 extended shared game drives per day (optional full-day game drive), one night-game drive within Mara North Conservancy and Conservancy fees for Mara North)
- 350 USD: Return flight to Masaai Mara from Nairobi Wilson Airport
- 150 USD Transport to and from all airports
